Day (01) - Cairo
Arrive Cairo international airport, upon arrival you will be met by Kimidar Tours representative and transferred to your chosen hotel.
Day (02) - Cairo
This morning explore one of the seven wonders of the ancient world, the Great Pyramids of Giza, and the nearby mysterious Sphinx carved from a single block of limestone.
Day (03) - Cairo
This morning visit the fabulous Egyptian Museum, home to priceless antiquities; including statues, reliefs, sarcophagi, and the King Tutankhamen treasures discovered in the valley of the kings in Luxor by Howard Carter in 1922.
Day (04) - Cairo Bahariya
We start our tour heading to the Great Oases of Egypt. Starting with Bahariya enjoy the drive through the desert.
Day (05) - Bahariya Farafra
Our tour today takes in the lovely tomb chapels of Amasis at Ain Muftillah, the temple of Alexander and a variety of decorated tombs at Qasr Selim, Qarat Helwa and Qasr el Subi. Finally we will view the poignant and celebrated golden mummies. We start heading to Farafra passing through the Black Desert, Crystal Mountain into the White Desert, overnight in Farafra.
Day (06) - Farafra Dakhla
Visit the town of Farafra, take time to relax and enjoy bath in the hot water spring. We continue our tour to visit the Museum of Badr a local artist. After exploring the area drive to Dakhla..
Day (07) - Dakhla
This morning the short and lovely drive to Dakhla Oasis stopping to see the remnants of ancient graffiti on the way. Next to the tomb of Kitnes in Bashendi, the Old Kingdom town at Ain Asil and the superbly excavated mud brick mastabas at Balat. Later we will wander the covered streets of the medieval village of El Qasr, visit the local ethnical museum.
Day (08) - Dakhla Kharga
Early morning drive to Kharga, upon arrival visit Kharga Museum and will explore the wonderfully situated forts and tombs at Ain Labeka, the unique early Christian necropolis at Bagawat, the unusual and often overlooked temple of Nadura and the Museum itself, which contains many interesting exhibits from Dush to Dakhla.
Day (09) - Kharga El Minya
Morning drive to El Minya via Assiut, visiting on route the Coptic Church of Deir El Adra and the Meir Tombs. Continue our drive to El Minya.
Day (10) - El Minya
We make the first of our visits to Tel El Amarna and explore the central city including palaces, houses and the private tombs of the city.
Day (11) - El Minya
A wonderful day spent at the evocative remains of temples and tombs at Tuna el Gebel including the unique tomb of Petosiris and the catacombs once full of mummified Ibis and baboons. Time to look at the boundary stele of the city of the Aten. Then on to Ashmunein to see the giant sandstone baboons and the elegant basilica of Rose granite columns, the Royal Tomb also visit the small museum at Mallawi displaying art facts from Tuna el Gebel and Hermopolis, the rarely seen and lovely rock-cut tombs at Meir.
Day (12) - El Minya - Cairo
Today we leave Minya, the capital of Middle Egypt heading back to Cairo. En route we will visit the marvelously decorated tombs at Beni Hassan.
Day (13) - Cairo
Kimidar Tours representative will escort you to Cairo International airport for your onward flight home.
